Notice: This is a personal experience with this “company” only based on their live support and not services.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

As webhosting providers, we value great customer service and quality of live support including support tickets. I, the wife, am highly disappointed to see how bad a decent amount of “companies” I see just trying to make a quick buck and then give crappy service after making their quick money. One thing that I see a damn lot of is this “unlimited” and “unmetered” bullshit scheme. The only companies I even remotely trust with those words is Hostgator.com because of the obvious fact that they have been around for quite some time and they have MANY servers in which they can put people onto. They don’t have just one server and hope that people don’t use what they have on it like these companies I see are doing nowadays. My husband and I, along with many other hosting providers, work long hours & deal with a lot of issues on a daily basis to make sure our customers are happy – regardless. Now, with that being said, on to the review.

My husband and I was searching and found a “company” that apparently provides “unlimited” space and bandwidth. (For those who don’t know or have yet to realize, it is impossible to have unlimited because every server has a limit on space and bandwidth but more over space – just like your computer!) Anyhow, as being curious people, we each started a live chat with Yayhosting.com and I think we got the slowest, most unprofessional “support” ever in the history of live chats. Below I have posted each of the live chats that my husband and I had (at the same time nonetheless).

My husband’s live chat with them:

Hello curious, my name is Victor, how may I help you?
curious 4:50:04 PM
Hello, i wanted to know how you can offer shared hosting for $25/year with unlimited space and bandwidth when it doesn’t exist as no server has unlimited slots for HDDs to be added to it , you would have to buy more servers.
Victor 4:52:11 PM
yes this what all people maybe asking, but when we say unlimited, means that we will not monitor how much space you are using, bearing in mind that the space isnt unlimited, understand?
curious 4:54:37 PM
Yes, but that is called unmetered and to top it off you can’t fully offer that to a client cause then they would be assuming your putting them on a whole server for them to use since its unlimited on both space and bandwidth. so i think you might want to redo your site to match the correct and realistic information rather than lie to people by offering something you can’t fulfill to the fullest
Victor 4:55:36 PM
thanks for the suggestion
curious 4:56:34 PM
ok so your going to say that after all, i could be a potential client who wanted to buy hosting, but i think you might need to retract your post on DP
Victor 4:58:43 PM
ok
will update the plans to unmetered
curious 5:01:12 PM
is the server you have from i3d.net one of the unmetered & promotions servers that has a max of 1TB HDD?
Victor Gonzalez, are you there?

Now you be the judge & tell me that is very unprofessional and most certainly not someone you want to be hosted by. We suggest to keep away from people like this who can’t give you 1000% support by answering your questions, staying in chat until your questions have been answered and not saying that a knowledgebase might help you. I hope that this post helps those looking for hosting and that this person doesn’t screw people over as we are more than sure, they will.
